Snow?!?!

So, we had a huge winter storm this past weekend. I was at work and guess where I stayed...at work :( I was held captive by BWMC. I couldn't have gone anywhere if I wanted to though. The roads were awful. They were covered in ice. It didn't snow so much as it sleeted and freezed. I was pretty at first but then it was just wet and cold. I got to spend the nights working and the days trying to sleep at the hospital. Now I really feel bad for having to wake patients up in the middle of the night to do vital signs or just to check on them b/c now I see how hard it is to sleep during the day.
I have no pictures. Since I was at the hospital, Craig was home with the kids and of course he didn't take any pictures. He probably didn't even go outside. Oh, well. Mother and Daddy helped him out by taking Tyler to stay with them. He had a good time. I called on Monday to talk to him and he didn't want to talk b/c he was watching cartoons. Guess he was having a good time with Nana and Papa :) I called home to talk to Elijah and he got mad b/c I interrupted his game with daddy. Izzy was asleep. So much for that phone call. Back to work.
All I can say is that I hope to never get stuck at the hospital again during a code white. Not fun. It was exhausting. Working 3 nights in a row with very little sleep is hard! My poor patients did not get the best care to say the least. Just glad its over!

Just Rambling

I really don't have much to write this morning. Maybe I'm just tired. School started back today so here we go back in the mundane of life. Kinda like "gotta make the donuts." Maybe I just need to give my coffee a little more time to kick in. I don't know, just not feeling it today. Oh, I do have a little news: Izzy has learned how to climb out of her crib. We have had to put a safety knob on the door. I heard her get up yesterday morning and then she got quiet so I thought she went back to sleep. NO! She had a poopy diaper that she of course decided to take off, along w/ her pj's, and then she got bored, I guess, and proceeded to empty her drawers! Needless to say, that was not a fun clean-up!
We had a pretty good Christmas. Not a lot to report. The kids got what they asked for. I didn't have to go into work on Christmas Eve! We went from house to house, as usual. And then it was over. I guess we have just had a pretty lazy break. Kinda nice, but hard to get back in the groove.
Tyler broke his glasses, again! We are waiting on another pair. Don't know what I am going to do about him. We can't be getting new glasses every other week!
Not much to report on Elijah. We are having a time with his attitude though. He is not very respectful and acts as though everyone owes him something. I hope it doesn't come down to taking a lot of things away. Maybe it is just the routine thing again. He didn't get a whole lot of sleep and we got away from our schedule a good bit. I'm praying that now that school is back in, we can really work on the respect and obedience thing. Lot's of praying!!
